Quest Nutrition Bars Review - All Flavours

I have been dying to try Quest bars for soooo long after seeing them on my Instagram feed on a daily basis and all the good things people had to say about them! I was so happy when I received samples of each flavour and the peanut butter cups! I will be doing a review of each flavour on this page after I try them and will update it regularly :-)

Most of you are probably aware that Quest offers a bit of a change up from most other protein bar companies. Quest bars have an amazing nutritional profile. They've got 20g of protein, 4g non-fiber carbs, and no sugar alcohols or other junk. Quest has two lines of protein bars; the 99.95% Natural Line and the 100% Natural Line.

Quest uses no "fillers" a very small amount of artificial sweeteners (in the 99.5% Natural Line only), and uses only protein from Whey Protein Isolate and Milk Protein Isolate. Quest Bars also contain no gluten, so they are perfect for people who suffer from Coeliac disease (basically gluten intolerance). The majority of other protein bars out there use a number of "fillers," a ton of artificial sweeteners  and they do not use the most ideal protein sources (e.g. collagen, soy, etc).

Chocolate Brownie

Chocolate Brownie is out of the 99.95% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-24g Carbs
-6g Fat
-170 Calories

Taste and consistency were both great! Tasted just like a real brownie, really satisfying and great for my chocolate cravings. Also liked the fact there were little pieces of chopped up almonds throughout the bar. The consistency was dense and chewy, but in a good way, I've heard heating in the microwave for 10 seconds makes a huge difference on this one, will be trying that next time!

Ok so put another brownie bar in the microwave for 15 seconds, OMG, amazing! Total game changer!

8/10

Chocolate Peanut Butter

Chocolate Peanut Butter is out of the 100% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-25g Carbs
-5g Fat
-160 Calories

Taste and consistency on this bar were really good. Little bit the same as the brownie bar, more dense and chewy. I'm a big peanut butter fan and chocolate so had high expectations for this bar, loved the fact there were actual chopped peanuts in the bar! A lot more peanut flavour that chocolate though but still a great bar.

6/10

Cinnamon Roll

Cinnamon Roll is out of the 100% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-24g Carbs
-6g Fat
-170 Calories

Taste and consistency of this bar was outstanding! I love cinnamon so was really looking forward to trying this and it did not let me down! It was a nice soft chewy texture, a bit like cookie dough. I liked the fact I could see real cinnamon in the bar and also pieces of chopped up almonds for those good fats! This is my favourite out of all three bars I've tried so far.

10/10

Apple Pie

Apple Pie is out of the 99.95% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-24g Carbs
-5g Fat
-170 Calories

I like my protein bars to be chewy and soft and this hit the spot! The taste and flavouring was so close to apple pie and had a nice touch of cinnamon flavour throughout too. Loved that I could see the real pieces of apple in it!
Taste and consistency of were great. On par with Cinnamon Roll as my favourites so far.

10/10

Coconut Cashew

Coconut Cashew is out of the 100% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-24g Carbs
-6g Fat
-170 Calories

I'm a big fan of both coconut and cashews and was pleasantly surprised to find the cashew flavour stood out a little more than the coconut as I had expected the coconut flavour to be quite strong but it was lovely with a nice subtle sweetness.Taste and consistency were also really nice.

7/10

Peanut Butter Supreme

Peanut Butter Supreme is out of the 99.95% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-21g Carbs
-10g Fat
-210 Calories

I am a big peanut butter addict but I wasn't blown away by this bar. It was definitely less chewy than some of the other flavours and the peanut butter flavour wasn't too overpowering, in fact I would have liked it a little stronger. The taste and consistency is still very good though.

6/10

Banana Nut Muffin

Banana Nut Muffin is out of the 100% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-25g Carbs
-5g Fat

I love bananas so couldn't wait to try this bar! The texture was quite dense and chewy but the taste was spot on! Tasted just like a real banana muffin. Like the fact like other bars that you can see the actual fruit in them.

8/10

Strawberry Cheesecake

Strawberry Cheesecake is out of the 100% Natural Line.

Macros:
-20g Protein
-25g Carbs
-5g Fat
-160 Calories

Strawberry cheesecake is one of my favourite desserts ever so I was excited to try this, another one of my absolute favourites! This bar was really quite sweet and the strawberry flavour was quite strong but not too overpowering. I'd say the taste was 70% strawberry to 20% cookie dough kind of taste. It was great, nice soft chewy texture too.

9/10

White Chocolate Raspberry

White Chocolate Raspberry is out of the 99.95% Natural Line.

Macros:

Meridian Foods Review

Meridian foods are my absolute favourite retailer for nut butters and fruit spreads! They sell loads of 100% natural and organic products and they also sell alot of gluten, wheat and dairy free sauces. I also LOVE their new packaging they are changing over to! Their website is www.meridianfoods.co.uk and you can search all UK and international retailers who sell their products. Below is a little review of each item I received :-)

One of my favourite fruit spread flavours, I love this through my oats in the morning or spread over some oats crackers, it has a great taste without being too sharp.

This is the one and only peanut butter I buy, it's amazing! Just pure peanuts, nothing added, which means you can add your own sweetness to it or spice it up with some cocoa. Use it in a lot of recipes that I have on here!

This was my first time trying this flavour of fruit spread and I love it, this was the last only flavour I hadn't tried and I'm glad I did! My LO loves it on toast too.

The crunchy hazelnut butter is so great! Hazelnuts are my favourite and this mixed with some sweetness and cocoa is like crunchy Nutella! I'm going to try this instead of the smooth type the next time I make my Nutella Protein Fudge!

This pumpkin seed butter is great for anyone with nut allergies, I love using it in my protein bar recipes as a little change and it tastes delicious!

Cashew butter is such a great nut butter, I have used this crunchy kind to thicken up an Indian sauce I made and it turned out fab!

Remember to check out www.meridianfoods.co.uk and you can search all UK and international retailers who sell their products!
